Netiquette for our Social Media Channels

Do you know about our social media channels?
Our Facebook-, Instagram- und YouTube pages showcase current topics, provide inspiration and encourage discussion. They offer an opportunity to engage in dialogue with us and with each other.

We greatly value your feedback on our offerings — and we want you to feel comfortable with us.

Which is why we ensure that debates remain constructive and based on the principles of a free and democratic society, even when there are differences of opinion.

We therefore kindly ask you to note the following

Your contribution should be constructive and relate to the topic of discussion.
— You should remain polite and respectful. Please choose a tone that you would like to be addressed in yourself.

Our aim is to create an open culture of discussion that is both controversial and respectful.

We therefore ask all users not to post any content that is offensive, threatening, harmful to minors or violates personal rights, is religiously extreme and/or inflammatory, right-wing extremist, anti-democratic, racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory; or incites or glorifies violence.

We reserve the right to remove without warning any content that violates our netiquette, as well as any suspicions, insinuations or theories that cannot be verified and are not supported by arguments or credible sources. Comments that violate the Criminal Code will be reported to the network operator and law enforcement authorities. Unfortunately, we must exclude any users who repeatedly violate our netiquette from using our site.

Furthermore, we ask you to refrain from publishing content on our pages that

— infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
— is nonsense or nonsensical text. Please ensure that your contributions always relate to the topic of discussion. If you have any questions or suggestions that are not related to the topics discussed, please email us at museum@kollwitz.de.
— contains third-party advertising, spam or constant repetitions of the same content.
— In the case of links to external websites, we reserve the right to check the linked content and, if necessary, remove the URL or the entire comment.

All published or commented content must also comply with Facebook’s Terms of Use and Community Standards, Instagram’s Terms of Use and Community Standards and YouTube’s Terms of Use and Community Standards.

We reserve the right to amend and supplement the netiquette.
